1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains in which way your personal data is processed once you decide to use and access our website www.rapidusmr.com (“Website”), and our software via address https://app.rapidusmr.com/#/signup (“Software”) (Website and Software jointly referred to as: “Platform”).

Terms and definitions used in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as in our Terms of Use. For additional information how the Platform and available services are used and under which conditions, kindly refer to our Terms of Use.

In case the Platform contains links toward other websites or services, please acquaint yourself with separate privacy policy and privacy notices of such websites or services.

2. Who are we and how can you contact us

The controller of your personal data collected once you access the Platform and decide to use services via Platform is: Rapidus s.r.o., Lannova 2061/8, Nove Mesto (Prague 1) Prague 110 00, Czech Republic, registration no. 03880052, contact email address: info@rapidusmr.com (“Rapidus” or “we”). This means that we, as the controller, collect and process your personal data and determine the manner and the purpose of such processing.

3. Categories of data we collect

We collect several categories of personal data, in several different situations. We provide support to organizations that conduct research, sell medicines, medical devices or medical equipment, by organizing and enabling online medical studies (“Studies”), via our Platform. We take your privacy very seriously and are committed to helping you understand how we manage and protect the personal data we collect from you.

If you only access the Website without creating a Platform account, we do not collect any personal information from you.

If you choose to create a Platform account in order to participate in Studies as a health care professional (“HCP”) using the ‘Join panel’ option, we will collect data such is your name and surname, email, phone number, date of birth, information about your qualifications and medical practice, your work address, whether you speak English language or not, and information on your position at your place of work.

We collect the above mentioned data in order to enable you to create the Platform account and participate in Studies, in order to verify your identity and make sure you have the necessary background for Study participation, in order to inform you on available Studies via email, as well as to enable you to participate in available Studies if you choose to do so. For example, if you do not speak English, we may offer a Study participation in your native language.

We collect data on your qualifications, medical practice and position at your place of work in order to offer you to participate in Studies which are the most relevant to your interests, experience and medical background.

We wish to prevent frauds and possible identity thefts, therefore, you may be contacted by our agent for Platform account verification – having a verified account means that you are licensed HCP with necessary experience to participate in Studies, and therefore, any kind of misuse of this kind is prevented by verification process. For this purpose, we process your email and phone number so we can contact you, and we may ask you to provide us with your medical license or your ID card in order to make sure that you are, indeed, a HCP qualified to participate in Studies.

If you fill-in the “Join Panel” form but do not pas the verification process, we will then immediately delete your personal data and stop processing it.

When you decide to participate in Studies and request payment for completed Studies, we will collect your financial information, depending on the chosen payment method, in order to complete the transaction, i.e. compensate you for the Studies you have previously completed.

We have legitimate interest to collect your date of birth so we are able to monitor the overall age of HCPs currently participating in Studies. For example, if we became aware that a certain percent of HCPs may retire soon and therefore become ineligible for Study participation, we may decide to contact other HCPs, so there is an uninterrupted continuity of Study participation.
